1 Program with Catherine Richardson

Ms. Richardson is a Deputy City Attorney for the City of San Diego, Civil Division. She has a broad array of civil trial experience during her 28 years as an attorney. She has practiced law for more than 28 years, and is licensed to practice in all of California’s courts, as well as the United States District Court, Southern and Central Districts of California. For the entirety of her career, she has focused her practice on litigation, including criminal prosecution and civil litigation, and has handled both plaintiff and defense cases. Ms. Richardson's trial experience includes numerous criminal trials and more than 20 civil jury trials. She has served as a pro tem Small Claims Court Judge and as an arbitrator for the SDCBA Fee Arbitration Program. She is as a Workshop Leader for the San Diego Inn of Court Trial and Evidence Programs, and currently serves as the Treasurer for the Inn. She received the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego’s Outstanding Trial Lawyer Award for Kelly Dodge v. Casper Concrete Cutting, et al., and has been selected for San Diego Magazine's Top Lawyers since 2014. Her broad range of trial experience includes the distinction of trying cases as Defense Counsel and Plaintiff’s Counsel. She received her J.D. from University of San Diego School of Law and a Bachelor’s degree from UC San Diego.
